Hi. I’m Tom, aka the CornishNerd. I’m rapidly approaching my 30s and have a gorgeous little son less than a year old. It’s my birthday at the end of August so I’m having a mid-year chill out/relax/breakdown of what I’m up to.
I fix computers. I passed a CompTIA A+ exam and done 4 Microsoft exams on Windows XP and Server, making me a MCP and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician. Might do soem more exams soon, we’ll see.
The fixes I’ve been doing appear to have been quite repetetive these days, so I wanted to get some blog posts out there to be able to cover the things I go through a lot of the time with my customers. Often I don’t get the time to explain the problem fully enough, or sometimes just having it on ‘paper’ is easier to understand for some people, so either way, I figured a post or two wouldn’t hurt.
